The Opportunity

A well-established and rapidly expanding energy services business is seeking a driven and commercially astute Business Development Manager to spearhead growth across some of the most exciting sectors in the global energy landscape.

The Role

  • Developing and executing business development strategies to drive revenue growth and market expansion

  • Identifying and pursuing new opportunities across offshore wind and broader energy transition projects

  • Leading market research to stay ahead of industry trends, competitor activity, and emerging opportunities

  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, partners, and key industry stakeholders

  • Leading the preparation of bids, tenders, and commercial proposals in collaboration with technical and commercial teams

  • Negotiating contracts and commercial agreements to secure profitable, long-term business

  • Providing strategic input on pricing, service offerings, and partnership development

  • Reporting regularly on pipeline status, business development activity, and revenue projections

Candidate Profile

Essential:

  • Proven experience and contact network in the offshore wind sector - this is a non-negotiable requirement

  • A demonstrable track record of winning contracts and growing business within the offshore wind energy industry, ideally within an owner/operator, OEM, Consultancy or Tier 1 or Tier 2 contractor

  • Strong understanding of project delivery and commercial models in the offshore renewable energy sector

  • Experience leading bids and tender proposals from inception through to award

  • Strong commercial acumen with the ability to identify and convert opportunity

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills for senior stakeholder engagement

  • Self-motivated, proactive, and able to thrive in a fast-paced, results-driven environment
