Key Accountabilities
Planning & Scheduling
Lead development and governance of integrated project schedules across DEVEX, CAPEX, and OPEX phases
Maintain planning standards, WBS/OBS/CBS structures, calendars, and schedule governance
Ensure realistic baselines aligned with scope, design maturity, procurement, and construction strategy
Review contractor schedules for logic, compliance, interfaces, and deliverability
Coordinate integration across engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, and stakeholders
Ensure schedules reflect operational constraints, permits, logistics, outages, and third-party dependencies
Oversee progress measurement and verify schedule updates for accuracy
Provide schedule analysis, critical path insights, delay identification, and recovery planning
Ensure reporting is accurate, consistent, and aligned with cost and risk data
Cost Control & Forecasting
Lead project cost control activities and alignment between budgets, forecasts, and schedules
Oversee forecasting, variance analysis, and VOWD reporting
Maintain robust cost governance aligned with commercial and financial reporting requirements
Ensure CBS structures align with WBS and integrated project schedules
Manage development and governance of project cost baselines (CAPEX/DEVEX)
Review commitments, accruals, and contractor cost submissions for accuracy
Ensure effective application of earned value management (EVM)
Challenge forecasts, variances, and estimate-to-complete (ETC) assumptions
Ensure approved changes are reflected in cost and schedule baselines
Deliver clear cost reporting, dashboards, and performance insights
Risk & Change Management
Integrate schedule and cost risk analysis (CSRA) into project decision-making
Oversee change control processes and impact assessments
Drive proactive risk identification and mitigation strategies
Ensure risk registers align with cost and schedule baselines
Validate mitigation plans and embed them into forecasts and schedules
Monitor and report risk exposure, contingency, and confidence levels
Ensure risk changes are reflected in planning and cost controls
Provide forward-looking analysis on emerging risks and project impacts
Document Control
Establish and enforce document control standards, workflows, and approval processes
Ensure all documentation is stored and maintained within the approved EDMS
Manage transmittals and document exchange with contractors and stakeholders
Monitor review and approval timelines, escalating delays where required
Maintain accurate document registers, metadata, and audit trails
Reporting & Governance
Define and maintain project controls standards, procedures, and reporting cycles
Provide executive reporting on project performance, trends, and risks
Lead Project Management Reviews (PMRs) and performance assessments
Integrate ESG and sustainability metrics into reporting where applicable
Other
Comply with company policies and support continual improvement of the Business Management System (BMS) and HSEQS commitments
Person Specification
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Project Management, or related discipline
Extensive project controls leadership experience within offshore wind, oil & gas, or major infrastructure projects
Renewables industry experience desirable
Advanced knowledge of Primavera P6, cost control systems, and risk analysis tools (e.g. Primavera Risk, Safran Risk)
Experience integrating project controls with ERP, finance, and document management systems (e.g. SAP, Oracle, SharePoint) desirable
Proven leadership of multidisciplinary teams and cross-functional stakeholders
Experience working in joint venture and multi-contractor delivery environments
Strong capability in dashboard reporting and executive-level data presentation
Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, analytical, and problem-solving skills
