O&M Engineer

We’re working with a leading IPP, to appoint an O&M Engineer, to support across a portfolio of operational assets in Europe. This may include both onshore and offshore wind - as well as other technologies which could be introduced to the portfolio through M&A activity.
Main Accountabilities:
Optimising the technical performance of the portfolio, delivering short-term and long-term projects to improve performance or enhance the business case;
Identify and track project and operational risks and develop appropriate mitigation plans;
Supporting negotiations of technical aspects of contracts, to achieve an
appropriate balance of risk mitigation and cost reduction. Providing technical advice during Service Maintenance Agreement negotiations
Participating in technical due diligence exercises to deliver additional assets into the portfolio, giving specialist technical advice to enable progression of the transaction process.
Support the development of processes and procedures, such as the hand over process from construction to operations. Ensuring that all aspects of technical readiness are understood and enacted;
Analyse the site labour setup including site management and technicians and plan the activities needed to ensure site teams are ready for the operational phase;
Develop the Company’s Operations and Maintenance strategies;
Support the Company through the process of obtaining quality standards;
Ensure project compliance with local and international standards/regulations regarding O&M;
Planning, scheduling, execution and optimisation of scheduled and unscheduled maintenance activities across the portfolio, ensuring at all times that work is conducted in line with HSE, Quality and Asset Management standards.
Undertaking regular asset inspections to ensure that key contractors including generating and electrical balance of plant equipment OEMs deliver their contracted scope as per the agreed contract.
Provide technical support on large corrective campaigns. Review RCAs, ensure component exchanges are performed safely and in line with contract and regulations.
