Land Agent

Ventus is working with a leading Irish Renewable Energy Developer who are seeking a Land Agent to join their team.
As a Land Agent, you will play a key role in supporting the identification, negotiation, and management of land agreements for renewable energy projects throughout Ireland. This role is ideal for someone with an agricultural background and a passion for renewable energy who enjoys building relationships and engaging with landowners and local communities.
You will work closely with the Land and Development team to help secure and maintain project sites, ensuring smooth progression from early-stage engagement through to project delivery.
Main Accountabilities:
Support the team in identifying and securing suitable land for onshore renewable energy development (solar and onshore wind).
Engage proactively with landowners, farmers, and local stakeholders to build strong relationships.
Assist in negotiating lease and option agreements for project sites.
Conduct site visits and surveys to assess land suitability and constraints.
Maintain accurate records of landowner interactions, agreements, and project data.
Collaborate with internal teams (planning, engineering, legal) to ensure alignment of land agreements with project requirements.
Represent the organisation professionally at local meetings, agricultural events, and community engagements.
Requirements:
A strong interest in renewable energy and sustainability.
Agricultural background or understanding of rural land management is highly desirable.
Outgoing personality with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
A proactive approach and willingness to engage directly with landowners and communities.
Previous experience in a land agency, surveying, or property-related role (0–2 years preferred).
Strong organisational skills with attention to detail.
Full clean driver’s licence and willingness to travel within Ireland.
