Head of Finance
Location - Dublin (Hybrid)

We’ve partnered with a leading clean energy organisation, focused on the Scottish sector, to appoint a Head of Finance.
Reporting to our client’s CEO, the Head of Finance will support with rapid business expansion, running and developing business operations as they grow and developing a robust business strategy to facilitate said growth.
Further details on the remit and required experience are detailed below:
ACCOUNTS MANAGEMENT
• Authorisation to process payments
• Reconciliation of departmental accounts, balance sheet and control accounts
• Preparation of monthly Management Accounts for review at FRAC
• Preparation and submission of quarterly VAT return
• Preparation of departmental and events budgets with CEO
• Salary and bonus review with CEO for remuneration committee
• Represent SR at FRAC meeting
STATUTORY ACCOUNTS
• Preparation of statutory account including disclosure for presentation to auditors and submission to Companies House
• Preparation and submission of corporation tax computation and return
• Attend pre-audit and closing meeting with auditors
• Assisting auditors with queries
FINANCIAL STRATEGY
• Preparation of annual budget with CEO
• Forecasting of annual surplus via multiple year forecasting models
• Preparation of surplus spend strategy to support continued growth of SR and the wider Renewable Energy Sector
MANAGEMENT
• This role will have 4 direct reports which are: Operations Manager, Financial Controller, Credit Controller, Office Manager
• Overall accountability for maintenance and reconciliation of sales and purchase ledger to ensure the accurate preparation of monthly accounts
• Overall accountability for all budgets and responsibility to flex changes throughout the year to accurately report to FRAC and the board
• Oversee all accounting procedures, financial transactions and systems used by the company.
EXPENSES & PAYROLL
• Oversee the preparation of monthly payroll and pension payments schedule
• Sign off departmental expenses claims
• Authorise payroll and expenses payments and reconcile accounts
• Ensure cash and credit card expenses processes are being followed and recorded in Xero in timely manner
• Reconcile cash and credit card expenses in Xero
