Environmental & Social Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Environmental & Social (E&S) Specialist to support renewable energy projects across multiple regions, with a leading investor. The role will include conducting E&S assessments, managing Environmental & Social Management Systems (ESMS), ensuring compliance with international frameworks, and supporting stakeholder and community engagement.

Responsibilities include:

  • Conducting environmental & social due diligence and impact assessments.

  • Overseeing project-specific ESMS to ensure compliance with IFC Performance Standards.

  • Monitoring E&S performance across contractors and operations.

  • Supporting stakeholder engagement and community development programs.

  • Contributing to corporate sustainability initiatives and certifications.

Candidate profile:

  • Degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, Sustainability, or related discipline (Master’s preferred).

  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience, ideally in renewable energy.

  • Strong knowledge of IFC Performance Standards and ESG requirements.

  • Previous work in emerging markets highly desirable.

  • Excellent communication, reporting, and stakeholder management skills.
