About Wind Estate
Wind Estate AS is a successful renewable energy development company Headquartered in Randers, near Aarhus, Denmark. The company was originally formed in 2008 by its original Founders, Jens Petri Petersen and Erik Abraham, who were highly active in the Danish onshore wind market since 2000 when the Danish government implemented some favourable policy changes in respect of ownership of wind assets. The company has since fostered an enviable reputation on the back of this close to 25 year timeline of experience.
The business initially grew to employ 10 people by the end of it’s first year of trading and has since grown into one of the prominent players in the Danish renewable energy sector.
Wind Estate UK was formed in 2015 and has since assembled a high-calibre team in Edinburgh, with commitments to take forward it’s 1GW development pipeline of wind energy projects in Scotland. In autumn 2021, the company was acquired by a UK capital fund, iCON Infrastructure, to continue with it’s business model of developing, acquiring, constructing and operating onshore wind and solar energy assets.
