Ventus is working with a leading onshore renewable energy developer, to appoint a Senior Contracts Manager.

Key Responsibilities

Commercial Negotiation & Tendering

  • Develop and define commercial principles for bidding documentation in collaboration with legal and project leadership.

  • Prepare and refine contract drafts with input from internal teams and external legal advisers.

  • Lead contract negotiations with suppliers and coordinate responses to technical and commercial clarifications.

  • Interface with lender representatives to incorporate financing requirements into final agreements.

  • Support successful execution of fully coordinated and finance-compliant project contracts.

Contract Administration

  • Oversee the full lifecycle of technical and construction contracts under standardized or equivalent contracting frameworks.

  • Monitor deliverables, obligations, guarantees, security instruments, and any triggers for penalties or claims.

  • Ensure ongoing compliance with financing conditions and associated project agreements.

  • Work with legal teams on interpretations, amendments, dispute avoidance, and drafting of formal correspondence.

  • Maintain proactive oversight of deadlines, notices, risks, and status across multiple ongoing projects.

  • Keep centralized tracking tools and reporting dashboards for active construction and operational assets.

  • Coordinate project handover processes including testing, completion formalities, warranty setup, and final accounts.

  • Identify and manage potential change events, ensuring timely issuance of notices in accordance with contract provisions.

  • Support claim evaluation and dispute resolution strategies through structured documentation and negotiation assistance.

  • Oversee document governance including version control, correspondence logs, variations, and site instructions to meet audit and technical assurance standards.

  • Provide guidance and training to project teams on contractual duties, risk points, and procedural compliance.

Legal & Advisory Support

  • Contribute to drafting and negotiation of consultancy agreements, engineering services, and other project-related documentation.

  • Advise internal teams on interpretation of contractual rights and obligations, escalating or coordinating legal involvement when necessary.
