Consents Manager - Floating Offshore Wind

We’re working with a leading offshore wind developer, currently progressing a large-scale floating offshore wind project, to recruit a Consents Manager on a contract basis.

Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities

  • Lead the Consents and Environmental Assessment process for offshore windfarm generation and transmission works setting the project up for success.

  • Lead all workstreams and team (both internal and external) with a focus on defining surveys areas for transmission works, scoping and agreeing survey methods, survey procurement and survey mobilisation.

  • Prepare for formal EIA scoping and leading on establishing positive long term stakeholder relations, with a focus on relevant regulators, their statutory and advisors and relevant environmental NGOs.

  • Work with the project management team to establish robust programmes and budgets and process and procedures around consents and stakeholder engagement.

  • Develop the projects design parameters working with engineering and supply chain teams to understand environmental impacts whilst maintaining flexibility.

  • Develop and implement project strategies related to policy and regulation engagement particularly in relation to Offshore Wind and Environmental Standards (OWES) and Habitats Regulation Assessment (HRA).

  • Lead project workstream on positive environmental outcomes.
