Senior Supply Chain Advisor - Offshore Wind

Flotation Energy is seeking a Senior Supply Chain Advisor, to support across its sizeable development portfolio.
Principal Responsibilities
Input and development into Flotation Energy’s Commercial and Procurement strategy, Overarching Project Contract Strategies, Individual Contracting Strategies, procurement plans, processes, and standards for contract management across our projects
Evaluate pre-qualification packages from contractors and vendors, ensuring they meet our quality and safety standards, and Project requirements
Issue and manage Invitation To Tender processes and draft Sole Source Justifications where appropriate
Request, receive, review, analyse, and qualify proposals from contractors and suppliers
Develop, negotiate and draft contracts, and purchase orders
Negotiate terms and conditions of contracts in accordance with Flotation Energy’s contracting principles, including schedules and other key terms
Draft change orders and variations during scope delivery as required
Participate in the development and continuous improvement of Flotation Energy’s procurement processes, working with the broader cross-functional team, to improve efficiency
Drive value through effective contract management incorporating leading and lagging KPI’s, progress review meetings etc.
Support Project Managers to develop their commercial, procurement and contract management capability and ensure adverse contractual events are minimized and handled effectively.
Contribute to project reports as and when required
Lead contract close out process, confirming contractual obligations have been fulfilled and final accounts are agreed in conjunction with Cost Controller.
Contribute to lessons learned exercises
Establish, and maintain, effective communications across project delivery, Joint Venture, and other stakeholder teams.
Adoption of programme and business management systems and requirements.
Production of high standard internal and external project specific documentation.
Ability to work across project requirements and specialisms to achieve a positive outcome.
Ensuring a high level of HSEQ performance is incorporated into all personal tasks and those on projects.
Education and Experience
Background in relevant professional qualification or discipline is preferable: commercial project management; quantity surveyor; commercial law, engineering etc.
Strong writing skills (technical or other writing experience)
High commercial and numerical acumen
Expertise in contracts [such as FIDIC, LOGIC, NEC], commercials, relationship management, invoicing and payment authorization
Experience of Contract for Difference (CfD) auctions (preferred)
Experience of leading, managing people and working across functions and disciplines to deliver objectives
Experience of managing and co-ordinating complex and diverse stakeholders
Ability to pro-actively contribute towards project goals, with a willingness to undertake tasks beyond the base remit to support the wider team
Proven problem solver and keen to accept challenge
Experience of renewable energy (preferable) or offshore project delivery process
Strong team and stakeholder relationship building skills
Understanding of planning and project control processes
Ability to create an enjoyable and fulfilling work environment.
Desire to learn and expand knowledge in Offshore Renewables.
Experience ideally within a project developer context (consultancy or EPC Contractor experience also considered)
